Planning for the Shoot

In the run up to the Shoot day (Tomorrow), all final preparations have had to be made, and plans put to action...

This has included, contacting all of the cast members about times, costume and organising choreography practice, for the dancers, as well as ensuing that the singer could lip sync to the playback (i.e. new the lyrics).

Other practical elements include prepping the set, projections and lighting, have had to be discussed with the set designers and supervisors.

The design for Artist Martin Garrix's web sight is very simplistic and easy to digest for the audience, it contains a simple colour scheme, and is very easy to navigate.

Up to date information and pictures, keeping up with current affairs with the Paris peace logo, in reference to the recent Paris Terrorist Attacks...

An easy to use contact page, with relevant names and all the relevant information. One thing that is apparent about all the links is the lack of a silly context paragraph explaining what the page is about...

The pages are very self explanatory, so they don't require one, which is good.

Examples of Digipack Art

Led Zeppelin's albums always have the iconic led Zeppelin
on their album covers, a reoccurring theme is always good for
maintaining a brand image. 

The Theme Throughout the Digi pack is subtle but constant. Its
content involves more than just discs and a song list, but also a booklet
which could contain any information about the band, or the creation of
the album. If this concept was used for another band, this content outline could
be used in any way the artist or institution wanted, wether it be tour/band info, right to
a booklet on additional content...

Other bands such as Imagine Dragons may rely on the art of the
genere, rather tan specific imagery, as their theme of art for Digi-Packs and
album covers, is Si-Fi or obscure imagery...

Pink Floid's album cover, like most others doesn't have a recurring theme.
But relies on Iconic imagery and the band name to help market their products.

Digi-Packs

What is a Digi-Pack?


A Digi-pack is a type of packaging for CDs or DVDs, typically made from cardboard with an internal plastic holder for one or more discs.

Digi-packs typically consist of a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside.  

It is important for us that our digi - pack does not relay to heavily on material from the music video. We have to a act on other synthesised material that would be included, if we had a stronger artist profile to work with.

Art for the digi pack vary from genere to genere, artist to artist...

Some albums maintain a theme throughout their campaign, right up to the music videos, but in our case, with only one music video, it will be worth synthesising other material to give the illusion of a complete album with lots to offer.
